Book Cover (Spoiler Alert!)
Stop Here If You Prefer to be Surprised
You voted and the results were close. The decision to reveal the book’s cover design was made by just one vote! Here’s my brief description followed by the official book cover.
I wanted the cover of my book to be pretty. I wanted it to stand out in a way that might entice someone to pick it up and take a closer look. I wanted the cover itself to tell a story. I couldn’t be more pleased with the end result.
The cover features a black silhouette of a girl with her gaze slightly downward. Perhaps she’s sad or lost. Perhaps she’s looking inwardly. You can see within her a sea of pink lotus flowers and green lily pads. The lotus is the pristine and beautiful flower that emerges from the murky depths below. Lily pads resting on the surface of a pond provide safe sanctuary from the dark waters. The color pink of the lotus gives a sense of rebirth and creation. Green is the color associated with the heart center—the source of love and healing. Whether or not the girl yet knows this, the observer can see that she contains everything she requires for her healing within her very being.
I have spent a lot of time with my own thoughts regarding the cover. Now, I would love to know your honest impression in a word or a sentence. Please share your thoughts in the comments!

I especially like your description of all the symbols on the cover. It drew me in and caused me to enlarge the photo so I could scan each detail. Beautifully done 🌺
Beautiful!
